*** Specialist, Global Direct Sourcing - Contract (Possibility to be Permanent) - Hybrid in Cracow ***
We’re looking for a Specialist, Global Direct Sourcing to join our clients Global Sourcing organization. This role supports the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, category management, and contract lifecycle management across global direct spend categories. You’ll play a key role in driving cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and innovation across manufacturing and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support global sourcing, category, and supplier management initiatives to align with corporate strategy and supply chain KPIs.
- Lead sourcing activities for assigned commodities such as manufacturing and engineering services, contract sterilization, calibration and testing, and off-the-shelf or customized components.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and enhance service levels.
- Manage supplier qualification, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to align sourcing decisions with business needs.
- Develop market intelligence and maintain awareness of supply base trends, risks, and innovations.
- Utilize Business Intelligence tools, spend analytics, and procurement data to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and vendor governance programs, ensuring compliance with quality and sourcing policies.
- Ensure supply continuity through proactive risk management and supplier performance tracking.
- Support sustainability and ESG initiatives across the supplier base.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP procurement/logistics and data extraction.
- Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, procurement best practices, and contract negotiation.
- Technical or Supply Chain vocational diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience executing sourcing strategies that achieve measurable business results.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, product commercialization, and supplier quality systems.
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices) and familiarity with ISO 13485 or GMP standards is a plus.
- Fluency in English (additional European languages a plus).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and cross‑functional global environment.
