Responsibilities:
- Analyze client requirements and design tailor-made logistics solutions to their operational needs.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, process flows, and layouts for warehouse.
- Optimize solutions by evaluating various factors, such as cost, productivity, space utilization, and technology integration.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, and service level enhancements.
- Collaborate with operations and continuous improvement teams to implement best practices and lean methodologies.
- Create and model cost-effective logistics solutions by considering factors such as labor, transportation, warehousing costs, and capital investments.
- Price and cost negotiations with suppliers (MHE, racking, etc.)
- Perform detailed analysis of operational costs, resource allocation, and pricing strategies to ensure profitable solutions.
- Be part of the implementation project team from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Present solutions and technical concepts to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Engage in contract negotiations by providing technical expertise and insights into solution designs.
- Analyze large datasets to gain insights into customer demand patterns and warehouse productivity.
- Use data-driven methodologies to forecast demand, calculate required capacities, and create operational models.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to ensure that logistics technology, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and automation solutions, are effectively chosen and integrated.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in logistics technology and recommend innovations that enhance efficiency.
Applicants Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering, preferably in a contract logistics or 3PL environment.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing logistics solutions, including warehouse layout design, inventory management, and transportation planning.
- Proficiency in logistics software systems (WMS, TMS) and design tools such as AutoCAD or similar.
- Strong data analysis and modeling skills using tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
- Familiarity with lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, or project implementations.
- English: minimum B2.
