The Position

About the Team & The Opportunity:

Join Roche’s AI Governance & Ethics team, where we are pioneering frameworks, platforms, and processes that enable responsible, ethical,  impactful, and trustworthy use of AI across the enterprise. 

As a Solution Architect, you will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for Roche’s AI governance platforms, including the AI Registry. In this influential role, you will ensure technical excellence, enterprise-wide alignment, and scalable integration, directly enabling the trustworthy use of AI to improve patients’ lives.

What you get:

• Salary range (for Poland) 20 000 - 27 000 PLN gross based on the employment contract. For the Spanish location (Madrid) the salary range will be discussed on a one to one basis.

• 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or a similar senior technical design role, with a strong focus on data platforms and ideally AI systems/platforms.
• Proven track record of designing and overseeing integrated solutions across diverse technology landscapes.
• Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, or data governance platforms is highly advantageous.
• Experience working in a complex, global enterprise environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP), microservices, APIs, and scalable data architectures.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system integration patterns, security best practices, and data management.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles, AI ethics, or AI governance frameworks is a significant plus.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Exceptional ability to lead technical discussions, achieve alignment, and influence architectural decisions across cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex architectural concepts to both technical and executive audiences
• Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and technical excellence.
