What you will do

We are introducingInternal Developer Platform based on backstage.io in Volvo and we are looking for experiencedSolution Architect with Cloud andDevSecOps experience to join our team.

What solutions are you going to work with?
We believe that thru platform engineering we can hide fragmentation of our organization, remove roadblokcs from developers, reduce context switch and cognitive load thus we can improve developer experience and bring speed and efficiency in software engineering space. Building platform as a product we treat developers as our customers and developer needs as our requirements.
We model new developer journeys crafted for streamlined software engineering experience.

AsSolution Architect you would work with the highly skilled team on connecting internal developer platform to Volvo platforms, tools and services to create single pane of glass experience as well as bring discoverability on software assets.

• You would walk thru Volvo organization and advocate for API, software driven capabilities that we need to plug in into platform to support better developer journeys.
• You would be joining architects working on modularization, rearchitecting, modernizing solutions moved to Cloud.
• You will be joining DevSecOps engineers, Architects and discuss blueprints, Golden paths that we want to automate to streamline developer experience.
  

Who are you?

We are looking for someone that has experience in designing and developing different architecture patterns in Cloud with DevSecOps, IaC, shift left security mindset.
Ideally you have:

• 5 years experience in modeling solutions on the Cloud (Azure Cloud, AWS) with various complexity level,
• Azure Cloud prefered, AWS nice to have,
• IaC experience with terraform, ansible or similar,
• Knowledge and understanding IAM and Network, Security areas on Cloud,
• Experience in modeling scalable, high available solutions,
• knowledge about platform engineering,
• knowledge about Backstage.io Platform,
• 5+ years practical experience in one of the technologies: Java or .NET, knowledge in Angular/React is a plus.
