As a Software Test Development Engineer C++ at Watlow, you will design, develop, test, and implement software solutions for manufacturing test equipment, primarily using LabVIEW and C++. Your code will ensure our products are tested reliably and efficiently, enabling our plants to deliver high-quality solutions to customers around the world.
You will own the full lifecycle of your test software, from concept and architecture, through implementation, verification and validation, to documentation and handover. All solutions will be managed using Jira and GitHub, with documentation written to a level that allows other software engineers to understand, maintain, and further develop the code.
In this global role, you will support both new development and existing test systems, working closely with teams on-site and across multiple Watlow locations. You will also contribute to continuous improvement, standardization of test platforms, and design for test initiatives. You will be expected to work independently, lead smaller projects or project workstreams, and help define strategies that shorten time to market.
