Software Senior Principal Engineer in the Data Path Engineering team at Dell USS constantly push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of Big Data storage and distributed systems. Data Path Engineering team is a global organization with US-based teams as well as Israel, China, and Poland. You will find our office in central Warsaw, making it easy to get to. The position is primarily office-based, with the possibility of occasional remote work. What you’ll achieve As a Software Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. Your responsibilities Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments Prepare, review, and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems Develop core software primarily using C/C++ and Python Our requirements University Degree and 10 years of extensive experience with high-performing software quality teams. Knowledge of software development methods, design and implementation. Proficiency with programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities and the ability to learn new tools and topics if needed.
