We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

As a QA technician, you will play an important part in our company’s product development process. Ideally, you will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective. Wed like to meet you if you have an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.

Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Location: part- time from the office in Katowice and part-time remote from anywhere in Poland

Your responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual test scripts
  • Continuous integration system maintenance
  • Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive test concepts
  • Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios
  • Report identified defects and report them cooperate with developers and business analysts for their resolution
  • Set up and maintain test environments
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using tools
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

Our requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance or Test Engineer
  • Knowledge of software testing concepts including: regression, unit, integration, white box, black box, positive, negative, boundary testing, scalability, traceability etc.
  • Ability to solve problems with strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Practical understanding of software development methodologies
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Knowledge of MS SQL and T-SQL scripts and procedures
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Oracle VirtualBox)
  • Good Communicative in English
  • Experience with contemporary quality approaches such as TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD
  • Basic programming skills (preferred C#, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Experience in non-functional testing
  • Experience in test automation
  • Knowledge of tools: Ranorex, GIT, Jenkins, JMeter, Selenium
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure)
  • ISTQB Certificates
  • Familiar with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, XRay)
  • Experience with retail systems and retail domain knowledge
  • Experience with systems integration
  • Experience with device integration, like fiscal printers, fiscal devices, payment teminals
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle
