While our team is geographically dispersed, we are seeking candidates based in Poland/European Union for this specific role. Our engineering team is also predominantly located in Poland, which fosters a collaborative and closely-knit working environment within the region. By being based in Poland, you will have the opportunity to collaborate more effectively with your colleagues, attend team meetings, and participate in local events, which can greatly enhance your overall experience and impact within the company. We appreciate your understanding and consideration of this location requirement.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline (Priority for: data engineering, AI Engineering or Data Science).
- 2+ years of experience managing teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading and contributing to AI-focused projects, preferably in areas like knowledge representation, reasoning, knowledge graphs and ontology development.
- Proficiency in backend programming (Python is warmly welcomed), with practical experience in building and maintaining software solutions.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, with the ability to actively participate in discussions on software architecture and engineering methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing software engineers.
- Strong background in coaching and mentoring engineers with a focus on fostering their professional growth.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience in implementing and deploying AI and data solutions in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing cloud-based tools and services for scalable, robust applications and AI pipelines.
- Experience with semantic technologies, such as RDF and OWL for designing and managing knowledge-based systems.
- Practical expertise in working with graph database engines, with a focus on optimizing performance and enabling complex data relationships.
- Hands-on experience with privacy standards such as SOC2, ISO, and GDPR, ensuring compliance and data protection throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare domain, such as healthcare technology, clinical systems, patient care platforms, or health data analytics.
