Requirements

1. 10+ years of software engineering experience, showing progression in responsibility in each of your roles
2. 5+ years of Java Development experience
3. 3+ years overseeing and managing a software engineering team of at least 8 people
4. Proficient in spoken and written English
5. Excellent knowledge of Agile Scrum
6. Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
7. Experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, API, security, data, integration, and application layers
8. Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills
9. Ability to work in an international multicultural setting

Job Description

Spyrosoft is building a Development Center for a new Client – leading open source API platform, enabling worldwide developers and business users to build, manage and monitor their APIs.

We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineering Manager to join our growing business. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture, DevOps, Technology Operations, and Customer Support/Customer Success groups to understand the product vision, requirements, quality issues, and architecture.

Responsibilities

1. Hire, coach, and instruct a team of Software Engineers
2. Be both highly technical and an effective people manager
3. Supervise the design and development of the software projects
4. Ensure that engineering teams are operating smoothly and efficiently while completing projects
5. Track and manage developer performance
6. Contribute to, promote, and enforce developer standards
7. Direct and implement people management activities such as coaching, 1:1s, performance reviews
8. Be proactive in driving the resolution of software quality defects
9. Align team objectives with product and enterprise objectives
