We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer proficient in Java or Python to join our dynamic team. The person in this role will lead the design and development of software solutions that address complex product and business requirements. Lead the design and development of software that fulfills complex product and business needs.
Review code and provide constructive feedback to colleagues to maintain high standards.
Ensure successful delivery of work across the immediate team.
Develop and maintain automated tests using test-driven development (TDD) techniques to ensure code quality and coverage.
Integrate software with monitoring and support tools to maintain operational effectiveness.
Confirm that software functions effectively within its operating environment.
Write, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of issues throughout the product life cycle, including providing out-of-hours support for incident resolution.
Participate in and lead, as needed, the team’s agile planning and delivery processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of software development methodologies, including pairing, code and documentation reviews, and continuous delivery practices.
Collaborate with project, product, and technical leads to design software and develop implementable specifications and tasks at both feature and component levels.
Work with third-party providers when necessary, providing direction, support, and documentation.
Mentor and coach junior colleagues; provide technical leadership and guidance. Line management responsibility for 1–2 software engineers may be required.
requirements-expected :
At least 4 years of commercial experience in one or more programming languages including Java, Python, or Clojure.
Strong understanding of software engineering quality assurance practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience building and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.
Experience working within established architectural patterns and following technical direction.
Demonstrated ownership and accountability for deliverables.
Experience implementing process improvements within the software development lifecycle.
Expertise in addressing operational and non-functional requirements such as monitoring integration, performance testing, scalability, availability, resilience, and security considerations.
Strong knowledge of web architecture and key technologies including REST APIs, HTTP, DNS, and distributed system design.
