As a Software Engineer in the Data Foundations team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the platform that empowers Google Health Engineers to build features for our users. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly improve engineering efficiency and code quality, collaborating with a talented team and contributing to a culture of automation and innovation. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from understanding user needs to deploying and maintaining scalable solutions.

We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and automation tools using Java/Go/Kotlin, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Build and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of your software.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Identify and address technical debt within the teams codebase and systems.
Contribute to the teams technical documentation and knowledge sharing efforts.
requirements-expected :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience working with distributed databases and distributed computing.
