BigLake Metastore is the heart of data analytics processing. The mission of BigLake is to create the one unified managed catalog for all of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
We are riding the wave of the latest advancements in data analytics, integrating with technologies like Apache Iceberg and Apache Delta. Our work impacts the user experience across the GCP data analytics landscape.
In this role, you will be focused on improving federation support for BigLake. This includes supporting major strategic partners such as Salesforce, open source standards such as the Iceberg Rest Catalog, and other major metastores such as Glue.

responsibilities :
Write product or system development code.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Be responsible for all data and metadata federation aspects and expand BigLake to other clouds.
Be responsible for creating a compelling cross-cloud data analytics product, working with senior software engineers and project management leads.
Influence the roadmap, work with customers and partners, and help with building a strong culture of operational excellence within this new team.
requirements-expected :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience in distributed computing, data analysis, Google infrastructure.
