About the project
We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer who will develop our client's products (ERP system)., developed and maintained in Denmark.
The product is built as a generic application server platform with a large application on top used by thousands of users across the world in large professional services organizations like engineering consultancy companies and advertising agencies.
The position is a developer role in the application business logic team, focusing on back-office functionality.
You will be working to extend an existing product with new functionality, having a focus on high quality and maintainability of the product. We are looking for a true language agnostic, who is not afraid of coding in totally new language, because this product is written in proprietary language.
100% remote (with occasional trips to Copenhagen once or twice a year)
Job responsibilities
Develop and maintain business logic for ERP system.
Work with a proprietary domain-specific language, Python, and SQL.
Collaborate within a Scrum team of developers, testers, and technical writers.
Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and performant backend code.
Analyze and implement finance, tax, and back-office functionalities.
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily standups.
Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues in cooperation with team members.
Share knowledge and actively support team collaboration and learning.
Apply agile practices with focus on clean code and long-term product stability
Working in international, mostly polish-danish environment
Expectations
Min. 5 years of experience on a similar position
Agile and Scrum, Azure Devops experience
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience
Business Logic, Frontend Development, Backend Development
Programming Language Agnostic Mindset, Code Review ect.
Oracle SQL, Database Design knowledge
Functional Programming - Python, Scala Programming is preffered but any other language is acceptable (the more you know, the better :) )
Source Control Systems (Perforce, Git) experience
Test Automation, Unit Testing, Integration Testing and End-to-End Testing experience
Jenkins skills
Experience or knowledge of agile and scrum is important.
Skills in use of AI and integration with modern data science methods will be an advantage.
