You’ll join a distributed Big Data team working in an Agile setup with around ten Scrum teams across Europe and Asia, running two-week sprints and regular six-week releases, where engineers work closely with analysts and data scientists on real production problems - no silos, no ticket ping-pong, just real collaboration on systems that run at scale. Our tech stack is a mix of Scala, Spark, ElasticSearch, Hadoop with a move to GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, CICD.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch
- Strong understanding of: elasticsearch internals, indexing, mappings, shards, replicas, query performance and optimization
- Programming skills in one of: Scala, Java, Python
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Hadoop ecosystem
- Deployment experience (cloud and/or on-prem)
- Knowledge of Scala Spark (nice to have)
- Being familiar with DevOps / Agile practices (Scrum / KANBAN)
- JUnit, TDD, BDD, RHEL / shell scripting / REGEX, Clean code, SOLID, KISS, DRY, design patterns (nice to have)
