About This Role: We’re looking for a B2B Software Engineer (Python/AWS) to join our growing Gainsight Customer Communities team. In this role, you’ll build software with purpose and joy, playing a key role in evolving our large-scale SaaS platform as we transition from a monolithic architecture to a distributed, cloud-native system on AWS. Python (main), PHP (legacy), JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend) Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, ECS, S3, CloudWatch) We believe developers own quality - we don’t rely on a separate QA team, you build, it you test it and continuously improve the existing E2E testing framework. Work on backend services written in PHP and Python as we transition our monolith into independent, scalable AWS-based services. Contribute to backend design, development, and testing within a fast-moving, agile team. Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers (React) to build meaningful features for our users. Write clean, tested, and observable code - from unit tests to E2E, you’ll own the full quality pipeline. 2-5 years of backend engineering experience in production environments
~ Proficiency with Python and working knowledge of AWS (especially serverless technologies like Lambda and API Gateway)
~ Experience with CI/CD workflows and confidence in deploying to production
~ Familiarity with automated testing and writing reliable, testable code
