In Corporate and Institutional Banking Client Services we are building inhouse solutions to support the onboarding and KYC activities of our customers. Amongst other things, we are building client facing applications for users to manage their activities with HSBC and orchestration capabilities to reduce the time it takes for clients and staff to complete these activities. In this role, you will be driving engineering excellence across a global team to transform both the culture and the technology across our KYC applications. This role expects you to be hands-on engineering, leading our software delivery teams by example to build a first-in-class solution that’s iteratively delivered into the hands of our users.
responsibilities :
Work closely with the CIB Client Services Engineering Leadership team, helping drive the engineering transformation across our Customer Due Diligence applications.
Build solutions using microservice architecture, working closely with the product team to understand requirements and impact of changes being made.
You will be expected to lead by example, delivering solutions at high cadence for the build out of both new functionality and the replacement of legacy systems.
Work to release change to production every day, owning requirements through discussions with the business through to development, testing, release to and support of production.
Drive engineering excellence and the strong engineering culture across our teams.
requirements-expected :
Experience building applications using non-breaking principles, particularly in developing RESTful APIs.
Proficiency in developing microservices using highly iterative methods to deliver change to production regularly (experience delivering microservices without using frameworks like Spring Boot is a plus).
Knowledge of Java, preferably recent versions (17 and greater).
Experience building and managing database schemas using PostgreSQL.
A keenness to learn new skills and technologies as the role requires.
