Youll be making crucial decisions on design, staffing, requirements, and timelines, balancing risks and trade offs.
In this position, youll collaborate with partner with local and worldwide teams to shape the future of Ring devices and services. Your focus will be on creating easy-to-use products that run efficiently on minimal power. Youll lead our firmware efforts, bringing new consumer products to market and interacting with teams across Ring, Blink, and Amazon.

responsibilities :
Lead a team delivering features and bug-fixes for Ring products portfolio.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software.
Assure the right firmware strategy and architecture is applied by the team.
Work across teams to manage dependencies and align on engineering work and timelines.
Collaborate with business, and other internal teams to define and own features.
Proactively solve day-to-day challenges and exercise sound judgment.
Remove barriers to execution for the team.
Define and execute process improvements to allow the team to improve over time.
Mentor, hire, and retain excellent engineers.
Drive best practices and engineering excellence.
requirements-expected :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals.
Engineering team management experience.
People management experience.
Working directly within engineering teams experience.
Experience with building successful production software systems.
Experience working with networking or communications devices in an embedded environment.
