For our Client we are looking for The Software Development Leader who will be responsible for all software aspects of a BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems project, encompassing planning, technical oversight, execution, software requirements definition, integration, configuration management, and final software releases.

What we expect

  • B.S. in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.

  • At least 5 years in software development and 3 years in software project management (automotive/embedded experience preferred).

  • Experience within a standardized software development environment, with familiarity in ASPICE and ISO 26262 principles.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.

  • Required strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

  • Must be fluent in English and willing to travel internationally.

Your tasks

  • Lead and motivate the software team to successfully meet all project goals related to scope, timing, and quality.

  • Plan and monitor all software deliveries and related development activities in collaboration with team members.

  • Analyze software requirement sources to accurately define and identify necessary software implementation needs.

  • Ensure the software project strictly adheres to all established development processes, including Internal Process, ASPICE, and ISO 26262.

  • erve as the core representative for the software discipline to the overall project team and the customer.

  • Measure and report software project performance metrics, providing accurate, timely status updates to both the Project Team and Line Management, maintaining a complete understanding of the project status at all times.

  • Conduct project-level risk management, identifying potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and capitalizing on opportunities.

  • Represent the software project during all internal and external audits and serve as the final responsible party for all software work products.

  • Manage Change Management tasks and negotiate the scope and timing of software deliveries with customers, subcontractors, and the core project team, ensuring necessary system inputs are coordinated.

  • Direct the software team toward achieving quality, schedule, and scope targets.

  • Define, plan, and track all software deliverables and team activities.

  • Interpret source requirements to determine software implementation needs and ensure strict adherence to development processes (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262).

  • Act as the software disciplines representative for both the customer and the internal project team.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (metrics) and provide accurate, current status reports to management.

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and opportunities; represent the software project in all audits.

  • Negotiate delivery timelines and content with all external and internal partners.

  • Bear the ultimate responsibility for all software work products.
