Our client, a new Silicon Valley based profitable B2C product startup building innovative mobile solutions for the planet, is now looking for a Social Media & Influencer Marketing Manager.

Location: Europe/Asia | Type: Remote, Full-time | Start date: ASAP

About project and role: Based in Silicon Valley and backed by top‑tier venture capital, we’re a mobile innovation company delivering breakthrough consumer products that connect people across the globe. The flagship VPN app has over 10 million monthly active users, and the newly launched eSIM product is redefining how people access mobile connectivity around the world. With a growing portfolio and new products in development, we’re expanding quickly and looking for exceptional talent to join us.

We are seeking a creative and community‑focused Social Media Specialist to be the voice of our two brands: the VPN product and eSIM service. This role sits at the core of our digital communication, translating brand identity into daily interactions that resonate with our audiences.

You’ll be responsible for creating presence, sparking conversation, and cultivating a digital environment where engagement feels natural. The ideal candidate thrives on timeliness, has strong instincts for tone and trends, and understands how to humanize brands through consistent, relatable interactions across platforms.

Responsibilities:

Content Publishing & Platform Management

  • Schedule, publish, and monitor daily content across Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms for both VPN and eSIM brands. Maintain distinct brand voices while ensuring consistent, on‑brand presence across all channels.
  • Develop and manage content calendars aligned with product launches, campaigns, and cultural moments.
  • Adapt content formats and messaging to each platform’s unique requirements and audience expectations.

Community Engagement & Brand Voice

  • Engage with followers through timely responses to comments, DMs, and mentions to maintain an active online presence.
  • Humanize both brands through consistent, relatable interactions that turn static content into two‑way communication.
  • Serve as the brand’s frontline voice, building community ties and strengthening brand recall.
  • Flag and upscale community feedback, complaints, or potential risks for timely action by internal teams.

Trend Monitoring & Content Adaptation

  • Monitor social media trends, hashtags, viral formats, and cultural moments to recommend content adaptations.
  • Identify conversation trends and leverage them to keep our brands relevant and top‑of‑mind.
  • Stay current on platform algorithm changes, new features, and emerging content formats.
  • Recognize opportunities to insert our brands into relevant conversations authentically.

Creative Coordination

  • Coordinate with designers, writers, and video editors to support asset production.
  • Brief visual assets that enhance post impact, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and platform best practices.
  • Support campaigns with platform‑specific storytelling that resonates with privacy‑conscious and tech‑savvy audiences.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and document key metrics including likes, shares, saves, comments, reach, and follower growth.
  • Compile regular performance reports to support campaign analysis and strategic decisions.
  • Use data insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement rates.
  • Monitor competitor social activity and benchmark our performance against industry standards.

Influencer Support

  • Assist with identifying and vetting potential influencer partners when needed.
  • Coordinate content amplification and engagement around influencer collaborations.
  • Support the broader team with influencer campaign logistics as required.

Requirements:

Experience & Education

  • 4+ years of experience managing social media for brands, preferably across multiple accounts or product lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Digital Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated track record of growing engaged communities and driving meaningful interactions.
  • Fluent in English (Upper‑Intermediate or above).

Platform & Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook, including their content formats, tools, and best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, or similar).
  • Familiarity with analytics dashboards and content collaboration platforms.
  • Comfort navigating platform‑specific features, from Stories and Reels to Threads and live content.

Creative & Communication Skills

  • Ability to write concise, on‑brand captions that spark engagement across different tones and audiences.
  • Strong instinct for recognizing and adapting to viral trends, social moments, and audience shifts.
  • Eye for visual storytelling and ability to brief or select assets that enhance post impact.
  • Quick thinking and adaptability for real‑time engagement opportunities.

  • Self‑starter comfortable working autonomously in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple brands and content streams.
  • Genuine interest in privacy, technology, and digital connectivity topics.

  • Experience with VPN, cybersecurity, telecom, or eSIM products.
  • Background in tech, SaaS, or mobile app marketing.
  • Basic video editing or graphic design skills.
  • Experience with social listening tools.
  • Multilingual abilities for international market engagement.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and their impact on social media marketing.
