Main Purpose of the Position:
As a SOC Senior Engineer at ISS, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our security operations by managing and enhancing our Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents across our IT estate. This role requires a proactive approach to security threats, where you will implement robust processes, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response activities to protect the organization’s systems, networks, and applications. Your expertise will be critical in developing and executing strategies that improve our security posture and ensure compliance with industry standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential security incidents and respond promptly.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage vulnerability remediation processes to strengthen our defense mechanisms.
- Lead incident response efforts, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery, and provide recommendations for future prevention.
- Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams to address security threats and improve overall security posture.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation related to SOC operations and incident response.
Who You’ll Work With:
- Work closely with the Security Operations team, IT professionals, and various business units.
- Report to the Security Operations Manager and collaborate with other cybersecurity experts within ISS.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, SOC environments, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response processes.
- Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with threat intelligence and vulnerability management platforms.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in cybersecurity.

- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess and respond to security incidents.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical details to a non-technical audience.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
