We seek a skilled Snowflake Platform Service Owner / Administrator , a team member who will support end-to-end ownership of a dedicated Snowflake-based service. This role will act as the point of contact for matters related to the platform, ensuring governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
Key responsibilities:
Acting as support for the primary service owner, responsible for account management, access reviews, and alignment with governance processes
Leading onboarding of the platform into internal application and compliance frameworks, including risk assessments, dependency mapping, and InfoSec review
Defining and implementing ITGC controls in collaboration with the Compliance and InfoSec teams
Developing and maintaining operational procedures (e.g., Access Management, Change Management)
Managing service requests such as role creation, warehouse setup, and supporting reporting and BI integration approaches (e.g., Power BI)
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Data Owners and business stakeholders, ensuring proper approval flows and alignment with business needs
Maintaining the service catalog and ensuring ongoing communication with internal teams and business partners
This position requires both technical and organizational skills, combining Snowflake platform expertise with governance, compliance, and stakeholder management
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of Snowflake platfo rm (account management, role-based access control, warehouse provisioning, resource monitoring
Experience wi th SQL for access reviews, troubleshooting, and supporting reporting/BI use cas
es.Familiarity wi th data governance practi ces (user provisioning, access controls, approval workflows, ITGC controls)
Understanding of cloud conce pts and integration of Snowflake with cloud services (Azure)
Experience wi th Identity & Access Management (I AM), including SSO, OAuth, and MFA integration on
Knowledge of information security standards and assessme nts (risk assessments, InfoSec reviews, compliance requirements
Ability to define and impleme nt procedures and operational documentat ion (Access Management, Change Management, Service Catalog
Hands-on experience wi th BI/reporting tools integrat ion (e.g., Power BI) and recommending optimal architecture
Strong communication skills to collaborate wi th business stakeholders, compliance, InfoSec, and data owners.
