For one of our global clients, who is a technology leader operating in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of US GAAP application and financial reporting across the EMEA region. You will have a chance to join their European Center of Excellence, based in Prague, that plays a key role in driving financial and operational excellence across the region.
This role will oversee the regional balance sheet, advise on complex accounting matters, and lead a team of GL accountants (2 FTEs). The Subject-Matter Expert will play a pivotal role in process improvement, digital transformation, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the monthly close and management reporting process for EMEA
Collaborating with local finance teams, SSC, and group functions on financial reporting
Conducting quarterly balance sheet reviews and variance analysis
Implementing new accounting standards in line with group policies
Providing advice on technical accounting topics
Supporting training initiatives and contributing to internal control improvements
What you'll need to succeed:
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles within an international environment
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes
Experience working with SAP
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English
People management experience will be a plus, as well as professional accounting certification.
