Freelance Construction Site Manager – Retail Fit-Out (Nights)

Location: Various sites across London

Start: Immediate / ASAP

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee retail fit-out projects across multiple London locations, working on night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, proactive Site Manager with strong organisational and client-facing skills, looking to join a fast-paced, high-profile retail programme.

You’ll be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring H&S compliance, and driving projects to tight deadlines — maintaining quality and safety on live retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage site operations during night works across multiple retail fit-out sites.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure project timelines are achieved.
• Enforce health & safety procedures and maintain site documentation.
• Liaise with the client, project team, and wider delivery partners.
• Oversee site set-up, logistics, and handover.

Requirements

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS (Managers Card)
• First Aid at Work
• Asbestos Awareness
• Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator
• Proven experience managing retail fit-out / refurbishment projects
• Flexible to travel across multiple sites within London
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to work night shifts on a freelance basis
