To growing Analytics Platforms team, we are looking for an experienced professional to join as Service Manager. In this role you will be part of Hitachi Energy business and report to the Global IT Domain Manager for Analytics Core Platforms. You will be responsible for leading and supervising a global team that designs and builds Analytics Data processing as well as operates, supports, maintains and governs them on the global Analytics Platform. The platform provides required functionality and meets the cost expectations of the business. The aim is to provide effective, responsive IT design, build services and implement IT solutions based on the demand generated by the business, enabling Hitachi Energy business with leading edge solutions to create long-term competitive advantage, leveraging new/advanced technologies.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Process & Standards Management: Partner with IT and business to design, build, implement and operate automation solutions. Execute and/or ensure execution of IT Strategy, Processes and Standards.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure service and analytics platform compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and regulations (IT security, ITGC, data protection, etc.). Governance and stakeholder management: drive delivery alignment with business and IT functions to identify, prioritize, validate and communicate analytics needs to partners. Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Service Management: Financial management of the service. Lead a delivery team of internal employees and third-party providers. Ensure service delivery adheres to SLAs and KPIs, and that SLAs/KPIs are fit for purpose. Provide input for budgeting. Manage assigned budget and activities within schedules and costs. Regularly update actuals and forecasts.
  • Solution Delivery: Manage service provider delivery performance. Partner with IT and Functions teams and the Business to design, build and implement Automation Solutions, using internal teams and 3rd Party IT Suppliers to improve efficiency or operational functionality. Ensure Analytics Platform is fit for purpose, user-friendly and sustainable. Participate in building end-to-end business cases and consolidate them into a strategic Analytics solution roadmap. Drive IT Delivery to develop and execute Analytics capabilities in line with IT delivery framework.
  • Stakeholder Cooperation: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand demand for Analytics capabilities and promote those capabilities within the organization.
  • Operations: Drive operational alignment with Business and IT Functions to identify, prioritize, validate and communicate needs. Drive automation topics across the organization. Ensure the area is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Lead and develop teams within HR policies for the benefit of Hitachi Energy IT and the employees.
  • Advisory and Communication: Provide input for incidents, changes or projects with major impact on the domain. Inform IT colleagues of changes or projects that may affect others.

Your Background

  • Education & experience: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering or business management. Strong knowledge across the Analytics domain. Proven track record delivering IT automation solutions and services.
  • Portfolio Management: Experience in prioritizing a portfolio of projects and delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Vendor Management: Experience running Analytics services with hybrid teams on a global scale. Familiarity with engagement models with third-party providers (managed services, T&M, outcome-based).
  • Cross-functional Experience: Exposure to business processes in various functional areas. Solid experience in support processes and organization.
  • Product Management: Experience with technology use and introduction, agile/iterative product development life cycle.
  • Soft & Language Skills: Leadership in a matrix environment. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
