YOUR TASKS
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise virtualization infrastructure (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM).
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of virtual machines (VMs) and virtualized environments.
- Perform capacity planning, load balancing, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for virtualized systems.
- Manage and maintain virtual networking, storage, and security configurations within the virtualization environment.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline virtualization tasks, including VM provisioning, backups, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to virtualization infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional IT teams.
- Perform regular upgrades, patches, and maintenance of the virtual infrastructure to ensure security and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with application and database teams to ensure that virtualization infrastructure meets performance and availability requirements for business applications.
- Develop and document best practices, operational procedures, and system configurations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Stay current with emerging virtualization technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience in implementing and managing VMware vSphere environment.
- Understanding of networking, storage, and HA solutions.
- Understanding of the SRM.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery mechanisms in virtualized environments.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex VMware-related issues.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Nutanix solution and Citrix will be an advantage.
