For the company were collaborating with, we are looking for a Senior Unix Engineer with deep knowledge in both Solaris and Linux OS’ and infrastructure. responsibilities :
Creating, configuring, and managing Zones and VMs
Patching OS and firmware of servers
Orchestrating automation with Ansible, shell scripts, and cron jobs
Resolving OS related incidents and analyzing server performance
Planning, coordinating, and implementing changes with other 3rd line support teams
Participating in infrastructure projects, that’ll help you grow, and develop your skills across various fields, and technologies
requirements-expected :
Wide experience in building and managing Solaris and Linux servers
High skill in managing Solaris and Linux file systems and storage (LVM, NFS, automount, LUN etc.)
Proficiency in automation and management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Red Hat Satellite etc.)
Experience in bash, bourne and yaml scripting and cron job scheduling
Knowledge in Solaris Zone management
Knowledge in virtualization technologies required to deploy, and manage Linux VMs (VMWare vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization etc.)
