The Technical Product Manager is an important function being responsible for the stable processing of the applications in his scope. The main emphasis are the technical features of the application, that are relevant for the operational stability. He is involved in the entire lifecycle of the applications beginning with technical requirements, technical testing, infrastructure design, handling of outages in production and technical changes in infrastructure. In case of external providing of the IT operation the Technical Product Manager has to discuss the technical issues and requirements with the provider aiming to a continuous improvement of the operational technical stability. The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the technical security tasks.
responsibilities :
Technical ownership for your set of applications and products
Specify requirements to ensure a stable operations of the business functionality in case of technical errors and outages, e.g. for high availability, error handling, restart and consistent processing after restart or monitoring.
Provide cross-functional and cross-cell technical ownership across all product components in scope
Provide technical, communications and organizational skills to facilitate, mentor and guide all TPMs in your group of products
Collaborate on the technical design of the application and the infrastructure/middleware to ensure the stability
Identify operational vulnerabilities and pushing on improvements.
Specify processing of technical tests, e.g. for performance, processing under load, technical error handling and restart processing.
Administrate technical users and roles as well as certificates.
Perform/support Security Compliance Checks and collaborate with Product Owner
Collaborate on the communication and analysis in case of an outage
Coordinate technical changes.
Valuation and coordination of changes in the infrastructure and middleware.
Work on technical inquiries.
Ensure fulfilment of requirements from Service Management (for incidents and problems)
Define parameters and MQ queues for MQ Series, iFG
Define and configure monitoring parameters (e.g. for databases, servers, IT resources)
Act as a principal contact for service offering objectives, reporting methods, operational issues related to your set of products
Support problem management process/role to ensure full portfolio compliance with contractual SLAs for root cause analysis provisioning
