What youll do
International Trade Compliance in SAP IT is looking for a Senior IT Technology Consultant to drive the innovation and advancement for SAP’s Trade Control domain. You will be working alongside our Product Owner, Process Experts, Developers and Architects.
You will play a crucial role in putting our agile software delivery process to work, and effectively applying the industry-standard toolset for DevOps implementations. Youll be tasked with the technical breakdown of projects or user story requirements and use your strong documentation skills to capture the results concisely in a Technical Design Document.
Youll also get your hands into technical feasibility studies and solution reviews, contributing your unique point of view. Alongside these responsibilities, your role includes handling the implementation and operation of all integrations with other business systems.
As a senior member, providing architectural guidance to our agile teams will fall under your purview. Well rely on you to carry the banner of enterprise architecture guidance and uphold our established guardrails. Finally, you will also play a key role in managing system architecture trade-offs and addressing technical debt.
What you bring
As a candidate, you need to be adept at applying advanced expertise and technologies in delivering precise results while consistently meeting customer expectations. Creativity and innovation are crucial, and proficiency in SAP Global Trade Services and/or SAP Business Integrity Screening is preferred. A solid grasp of ABAP, including debugging skills, is required, along with strong HANA, UI5, Fiori, and SQL skills. Your general system development and design expertise will stand you in good stead. Experience in Agile Methods and familiarity with the SAFe framework is considered valuable. Importantly, a willingness to acquire additional technical and tool knowledge for design, configuration, extensions, integration and operation is critical.
