Overview
As a member of Finance Department, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with local and international tax regulations, supporting strategic tax planning, and providing expert advice on tax-related matters. This role plays a critical part in managing the company’s tax obligations and reporting, mitigating risks, and identifying tax optimization opportunities across the business. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, as well as to support business initiatives from a tax perspective.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (CIT, VAT, PIT, transfer pricing, custom duties etc.) and ensure a proper follow-up.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting and filings.
- Follow legislative changes and analyse its impact in the Group operations.
- Ensure quality of tax information for reporting purposes.
- Provide expert tax advice for business decisions and cross-border transactions.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities.
- Manage the relationship with tax authorities.
- Provide technical tax guidance to senior management, finance teams, and business units.
- Provide support to company-wide initiatives in Poland aiming to achieve a sustainable effective tax rate.
- Assist in the development of processes to improve coordination of inter‑disciplinary teams to anticipate tax risks and opportunities.
- Review internal and external documents which contain any tax or potentially tax‑relevant data or content.
- Manage tax M&A projects of the Group.
- Handle and answer to information requirements from management.
Academic Background
- University Degree in Laws, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- Post‑graduate studies focused on taxation (international taxation will be a plus).
Languages
The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English and Polish both spoken and written. Other languages will be highly valued.
Professional Experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in tax compliance / tax accounting.
- Experience in offshore or onshore wind development is preferred.
Knowledge
- Professional or experience working for a large business. Strong understanding of Local Tax laws and reporting.
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP system are essential.
- Advanced Excel based skills are essential.
- Excellent logical structuring and written communication skills.
Other Requirements
- Job location will be in Warsaw. Flexibility to travel may be required.
