We are currently seeking a dedicated Systems Analyst to join our Applications Support team within the Technology division. This is a full-time role focused on providing second-line technical support for a variety of Unix-based systems. You will work with Web and API applications built using an array of open-source technologies, such as Unix, Java, Hadoop, Postgres, and NoSQL. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting critical production transaction processing systems that are integral to our business, handling millions of transactions daily for some of the world’s leading organizations.
responsibilities :
Ensure the stability and ongoing support of applications,
manage changes, incidents, and problems in line with company protocols,
participate in the planning, deployment, and review of system changes,
perform proactive maintenance tasks, automate processes, and conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues,
develop and maintain scripts for monitoring system functionality and performance,
automate repetitive tasks through scripting,
monitor incident queues, troubleshoot issues, and lead cross-functional calls to minimize impact,
implement code fixes, operational updates, and other preventive maintenance tasks,
evaluate client-reported issues and provide effective solutions,
participate in on-call rotation as assigned by the manager,
collaborate in meetings for Business and IT initiatives,
develop and maintain scripts and programs to meet IT objectives,
provide extended support as necessary and collaborate with offshore teams to ensure 24/7 support for applications and services.
requirements-expected :
At least 4 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree,
hands-on experience with Production/Application Support,
proficiency in Unix commands and scripting, with expertise in Web/API technologies and at least one API technology,
experience supporting Java applications running in Apache Tomcat, JWS, or similar containers.
