A successful Senior Support Engineer will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our database infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve complex database issues and implement best practices.

responsibilities :
Provide expert-level support for a variety of database systems, including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and advanced databases like MongoDB.
Monitor database performance, identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, encryption, and regular backups.
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for all database systems.
Database Design & Development:
Participate in the design and implementation of database schemas, ensuring optimal data integrity and performance.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including procedures, standards, and best practices.
Assist in data analysis and reporting activities as needed.
Provide support for data integration and ETL processes.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and security breaches.
Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve data-related issues within applications.
Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Stay current with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency database support.
Other duties as assigned.
requirements-expected :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator or Engineer.
Proven expertise in administering and supporting MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with advanced databases such as MongoDB is a strong plus.
Strong understanding of database concepts, including schema design, normalization, and data modeling.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) for automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
