This role is part of our headquarters in Vienna, with the place of employment based in Warsaw.
We are looking for a technically skilled and communicative Senior System Administrator (m/f/d) with a strong focus on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to support the further development of our digital workspace strategy. In this role, you will operate, optimise, and continuously improve our VDI environment based on Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop.

responsibilities :
VDI Operation & Continuous Improvement
Administer, maintain, and optimise the virtual desktop infrastructure (Citrix or Azure Virtual Desktop).
Create, update, and maintain images, golden images, and application packages.
Monitor system performance and capacity to ensure stable and secure operations.
Analyse and implement enhancements to improve stability, usability, and security.
End-User Collaboration
Work directly with end users (IT support, power users, business departments) to understand their needs and translate them into technical improvements.
Cooperate closely with IT support to structure feedback and improve daily operations.
Conduct tests with key users to evaluate new functions or system changes.
Troubleshooting & 2nd/3rd Level Support
Analyse and resolve complex issues within the VDI environment.
Serve as an escalation point for IT support in VDI-related incidents.
Collaborate with external technology partners (e.g., Microsoft, Citrix).
Automation & Standardisation
Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools.
Contribute to developing and maintaining standardised operating and deployment processes.
Security & Compliance
Implement and further develop security and compliance standards within the VDI environment.
Support audits, patching cycles, and update processes.
requirements-expected :
Completed higher education in a technical or computer science field (engineering or master’s level).
Experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops or Azure Virtual Desktop.
Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Group Policies, and network fundamentals.
Experience with automation (PowerShell) is considered an advantage.
Understanding of modern workspace concepts (DaaS / BYOD / hybrid work).
Strong focus on quality and service.
