Senior System Administrator
Your responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage critical infrastructure in compliance with German regulations.
- Conduct background checks for all employees per German law §165 Telekommunikationsgesetz.
- Full-stack operations management: oversee operating systems, configuration management, applications, databases, and customer care interfaces.
- Operate auxiliary systems for monitoring, statistics, alarming, logging, protocol analysis, and security (DNS threat intelligence).
- Participate in 24/7 on-call duty to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Our requirements
- Operating Systems: Proven experience in Linux system administration, preferably Debian.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, Perl, or Python for solving complex tasks.
- Monitoring: Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitOps workflows.
- Containers & Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- High Availability (HA) & Distributed Systems: Skills in designing and operating HA/distributed systems.
- Configuration Management & Automation: Proficiency in Ansible and/or Puppet.
- Networking: Strong knowledge of network fundamentals.
- Database Management: Familiarity with MariaDB and Redis.
- Experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) protocols and telephony systems (soft switches, PBX solutions like Kamailio or Asterisk).
- Knowledge of load balancing with HAProxy and keepalived/IPVS.
- Hands-on experience operating ELK/OpenSearch clusters.
- Familiarity with alarm management tools like Icinga, Check_MK, and Alertmanager.
- German language skills at a B2 level or higher.
