Overview
Senior Supply Chain Manager at Astreya. The Senior Supply Chain Manager is a strategic leadership role pivotal in driving end-to-end supply chain operations for our largest strategic account. This role demands more than just operational oversight; it requires a visionary leader capable of shaping supply chain strategy, owning client relationships, and structuring global teams for maximum efficiency.
You will take full ownership of the ecosystem: from Order Management and 3PL coordination to high-level demand planning, ensuring that our logistics and inventory strategies align perfectly with the client’s fast-paced infrastructure requirements.
Your Roles And Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Organizational Structure
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a global team of supply chain planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance. The team works across all time zones, and requires a flexible approach to managing a diverse team based remotely.
- Order Orchestration: Take full responsibility for the Order Orchestration function. You will oversee the coordination of remote deployments and returns, managing Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners to ensure seamless execution and adherence to SLAs.
- Advanced Inventory Strategy: Delve into intricate inventory challenges, crafting solutions to address stock imbalances, demand surges, and inventory turnover.
- Client Partnership & Business Intelligence
- Vendor Management: Cultivate robust relationships with vendors, ensuring deliveries are on-time and in-full, and ensuring vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a functional leader, guiding teams and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure cohesive supply chain & logistics efforts and optimized performance.
- Strategic Management: Develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies that align with company goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Executive Business Reviews: Lead the narrative during Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Business Reviews (WBR/MBR). Present data-driven insights, performance trends, and strategic improvements directly to top management and client stakeholders.
- Operational Execution & Logistics
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand accurately, ensuring supply plans align with customer needs and business goals.
- Inventory Control & Strategy: Manage complex inventory challenges, addressing stock imbalances, demand surges, and turnover. Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to reduce excess and waste.
- Comprehensive Reporting: Deliver in-depth reports and insights to top management during weekly, monthly & quarterly reviews, highlighting supply chain performance, challenges, blockers and areas for growth.
- Customer Service Excellence: Champion the delivery of top-tier customer service throughout the supply chain. Ensure that all processes, from procurement to final delivery, are customer-centric and aim to exceed client expectations.
- Cost Management: Oversee budgeting and cost management efforts, aiming to minimize expenses without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, and provide regular reports on supply chain performance and metrics.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Project Management (PMO): Design & execution of continuous improvement projects using PMO tools (e.g., Jira & Confluence) to fine-tune supply chain operations and implement industry best practices.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful supply chain strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, including SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various departments and levels of an organization.
- Excellent presentation skills for executive and client business reviews.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) systems, with hands-on experience in inventory management modules
- Experience in the IT or tech industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in global supply chain management and logistics.
- Strong experience managing 3PL relationships and Order Management lifecycles.
