Senior Strategic & Sourcing Manager

For our client, an international organisation specialising in the production and sale of machinery, we are currently looking for a person for the position of Senior Strategic & Sourcing Manager.

What Will You Do - Responsibilities :

• Creation and implementation of a purchasing strategy: developing long-term purchasing plans that support the company39s business objectives
• Leading the purchasing strategy team (optionally operational purchasing
• Defining and developing the acquisition strategy (cooperation with R&D, quality management and operational purchasing)
• Supplier management
• Identifying optimisation potentials also through combining requirements, standardisation and creating synergies 
• Leading and implementing cost reduction initiatives/projects 
• Price and contract negotiations with suppliers 
• Continuous observation and analysis of global trends in the supply markets 
• Optimisation of purchased parts through innovative impulses from key suppliers (early involvement in the product development process)
• Cooperation and reporting to the management board in Switzerland 

• Completed technical or commercial bachelor  studies
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a leader in strategic sourcing of manufacturing and/or intermediate materials in a global industrial company 
• Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology and manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills at all levels 
• Ability to negotiate 
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP 
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent English
