Senior Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Works with product stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide clarity when faced with ambiguous requirements
2. Interacts with product management teams to understand product requirements
3. Participates in architectural review process
4. Leads product features and designs multiple modules with many dependencies as well as participates in overall product design
5. Provides technical leadership to the team
6. Develops scripts and code for a feature and multiple modules and product
7. Cross-technical integration
8. Participates in peer reviews
9. Adoption of standard coding processes
10. Develops unit tests, fixes defects, develops test strategies, recommends testing frameworks
11. Defines and implements operational excellence best practices
12. Provides level of effort (LOE) and Estimates
13. Defines technical strategy and drives release management planning
14. Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates new technologies
15. Influences senior management in setting the organizations technical objectives

Qualifications

1. Hands-on professional software development experience in architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer facing software services at scale in an innovative engineering environment
2. Experience and good understanding of Kotlin, Spring, JOOQ, Postgress, Docker, OpenApi, Kubernetes, Gradle, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Splunk
3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
4. Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English
