Senior Stability Plan Approval Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Stability Plan Approval Engineer to join its office in Poland within the Marine North Europe Region Division.
Mission
This role focuses on performing detailed plan and design reviews, resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met. Projects could include the approval of new building, conversion, and existing vessels and yachts.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and approve load line assignments, intact & damage stability booklets, loading computer and ballast water management plans, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions.
- Calculation (NAPA software knowledge is an advantage)
- Assist clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to load line, stability, loading computer, and ballast water management plan matters.
- Resolve issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards.
- Perform assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
- Oversee and manage day-to-day project elements, visit sites to take measurements.
- Ensure correct and up-to-date data is used and complete documentation is submitted to officials and other day-to-day duties.
- Review the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentation, and engineering drawings, etc.).
- Review progress reports and take appropriate action to ensure requirements are met.
- Take ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks.
- Understand and apply project management concepts providing feedback to the project manager, serve as a reference for the escalation of issues.
- Manage simple and complex projects assigned applying project management concepts and techniques.
- Assess complex structural problems for internal/external clients to determine solutions.
- Answer complex contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer, and serve as liaisons between engineering and construction personnel.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ related work experience
- Proven level of technical and scientific knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems
