We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SRE to join a long‑term project for a well‑established provider of safety solutions in the logistics sector (US & Canada). You will work with our Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure team in a medium‑sized R&D organization (≈100 engineers) to maintain the core platform running a SaaS product on Azure and Kubernetes.
We operate on US Eastern time zones (EST) but remain flexible with hours. Business meetings & syncs occur no later than 10 p.m. Polish time. Please specify the hours you can work during recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Implement SLOs & SLIs: collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce service‑level indicators, objectives, and error budgets.
- Build centralized dashboards: develop tools to enhance visibility into system performance, identify trends, and improve overall observability.
- Oversee incident management processes: collaborate with the 24/7 incident support team, draft & refine SOPs, ensure RCA processes are followed, and handle escalations as needed.
- Drive cross‑team collaboration: act as the bridge between Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Development, and other technical teams to align on objectives and enable seamless execution of SRE initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and OpsGenie.
- Design and implement centralized dashboards for system performance monitoring and analysis.
- Experience drafting and executing SOPs and RCA processes.
- Familiarity with large‑scale distributed systems, microservices, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Ability to guide cross‑functional engineering teams and collaborate with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Track record in monitoring cloud infrastructures, including Kubernetes and Azure (PaaS and IaaS) is a plus.
