Your new company
You will join a rapidly growing technology organization with over three decades of experience in developing advanced smart‑security solutions. A new engineering hub is being built in Kraków, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and in‑office teamwork are strongly valued, with the option for occasional remote work.
Your new role
As a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator, you will manage Microsoft SQL Server environments across the full product lifecycle- from development and testing to myonecrotically production systems. You will design and implement multi‑site Always On solutions, ensure database performance, availability, and security, and oversee monitoring, auditing, backup, and recovery processes. You will also act as the organization’s internal SQL Server expert, advising engineering teams on best practices and supporting technical users. The role includes ownership of incident resolution, maintenance planning, operational automation, and participation in on‑call rotations.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
15+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in highly available, post-translational, and OLAP environments
Deep expertise in SQL Server 2019, 2022, and 2025
Mastery of Always On and other high‑availability features
Strong experience troubleshooting integrity, performance, migration, replication, log shipping, blocking/deadlocking, connectivity, and security issues
Advanced skills in performance tuning and query optimization using SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, and related tools
Ability to diagnose CPU, memory, I/O, storage, and other resource bottlenecks
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, DMVs, clustering, mirroring, auditing, and replication
Proven experience implementing operational automation
Deep understanding of indexing, index management, statistics, encryption, configuration, and patching
Solid SQL development skills (stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
Strong documentation skills and experience supporting technical users
Availability for on‑call duties
