What You Will Do

  • Plan and execute maritime logistics of pulp from our Finnish Pulp mills to global markets as break bulk and in containers in cooperation with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, our contract carriers and port operators
  • Guarantee high logistics service level and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure seamless transportation flows with our contract carriers
  • Process transport orders in SAP Transportation Management system
  • Verify logistics cost invoices
  • Be responsible for Cargo claim management together with carriers and UPM Cargo Care team
  • Be involved in Continuous improvement of Maritime Logistics processes

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or other comparable education preferably in the fields of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or Maritime studies
  • You have more than three years of relevant professional experience working with international transports in a fast-paced environment; previous work experience with either containerized or break-bulk maritime transports is an advantage
  • You have a basic understanding of deepsea container markets and/or break-bulk tramp markets; familiarity with Contracts of Affreightment and chartering terms is considered an advantage
  • You have experience in SAP Transport Management or some other Transport Management System and Power BI reporting tool, which is considered a benefit
  • You have a customer-oriented mindset and flexibility
  • You have an independent and structured way of working, a high level of proactivity and personal initiative and can work well under pressure
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills, strong determination, very good team-working ability
  • You have effective spoken and written communication skills and are fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is considered an asset
