Position Description

1. Provide support with the implementation of the Global EHS standards and systems to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
2. Support the local EHS representatives with the implementation of the Global EHS program and the EHS performance indicators.
3. Planning and executing Internal Audits at the local sites.
4. Monitoring the outcomes of external audits conducted at local QIAGEN Facilities relating to EHS.
5. Overall responsibility for the EHS Documentation includes keeping update the GDAM and Training codes for Global EHS Documents.
6. Responsible for management and the main contact for EHS related Tools: MasterControl, QIAquality, New Management System Software.
7. Oversee globally process related to Supplier assessment and change control.
8. Manage and respond to customer inquiries related to Global EHS.
9. Identify opportunities for improvement projects, work with stakeholders to simplify the process.
10. Lead cross-functional projects, guide and implement initiatives in support of our Global EHS goals.
11. Coordination of global data for the preparation of: Global management reviews for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, monthly quarterly EHS performance indicators.

Position Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree e.g. Environmental, Chemical Engineering, health, and safety.
2. Experience of 2 years in either ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and or ISO 9001, ISO 13485 management systems, would be desirable.
3. Good command of the English Language in written and speech.
4. Proven track record of facilitating projects and initiatives to improve EHS programs in a complex organization would be desirable.
5. Good attention to detail, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
6. Requires high planning and prioritizing abilities.
7. Excellent communication skills and able to work as a team with employees at all levels of the QIAGEN organization as well as with key individuals outside the organization.
