Overview
Role involves undertakings in anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring within AME; responsibilities include relationship management with AME FCC and FCSO stakeholders, screening tasks, escalation of suspicious activity, investigation and documentation of cases, and support for training and process improvement. The role requires strong data entry, research, and analytical skills, alignment with policy and regulatory requirements, and collaboration across the investigation team.
Responsibilities
- Establish and develop effective working relationships with AME FCC and FCSO stakeholders.
- Undertake Name and Transactions Screening tasks for AME clients.
- Escalate suspicious hits to in-country Act team.
- Investigate transaction monitoring cases with follow-up actions in accordance with FCSO Act DOI (Non-Sanctions) and/or Country Variation.
- Undertake research on transaction monitoring cases and evidencing in ECM.
- Escalate suspicious activity to respective FCC stakeholders.
- Execute controls for AME processes.
- M7 entry and administration.
- Support in MI development.
- Ensure highest case quality by supporting controls maintenance.
- Manage the investigative process for identification of unusual activity from initial detection through research, analysis, description, and decision recommendation.
- Be responsible for data entry related to tracking and documenting all investigative steps.
- Seek and apply best practices to deliver quality investigations and monitor timely delivery of assigned tasks in accordance with group and FCC/FCSO policies.
- Support training program development and learning delivery (including shadowing sessions and training sessions).
- Provide advice and guidance to other investigators in daily case investigations.
- Support management by providing expertise to other team members during calibrations.
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty and accountability in conduct and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in anti-money laundering projects, operations, or services within the financial industry or regulatory/government contexts.
- Corroborating or Non-Correspondent Banking experience is a plus.
- Higher education degree preferred; ICA/ACAMS certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Analytical, data interpretation and synthesis skills; ability to evaluate information and make recommendations.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; good interpersonal communication.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, or as part of a team.
- Arabic language skills are a plus.
