Your Job

As a Senior Sourcing Engineer at Molex you will lead strategic sourcing activities from product concept through production ramp‑up, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and ensure supplier capabilities align with business needs.

Our Team

You will become an integral part of our dynamic sourcing team, reporting directly to the Global Procurement Manager. Our team is committed to driving efficiency and cost‑effectiveness in our sourcing strategies.

What You Will Do

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for new products, developing sourcing roadmaps and supplier engagement strategies aligned with product lifecycles.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to influence design decisions and secure supplier capabilities for successful product launches.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for new products while managing existing supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Negotiate pricing, tooling investments, and contracts to ensure total cost competitiveness, including conducting detailed cost breakdowns and Total Landed Cost analyses.
• Identify supply chain risks related to materials, processes, and suppliers, and develop mitigation strategies before transitioning to manufacturing plants.
• Manage prototype deliveries and track procurement‑related activities to ensure timely product launch execution.
• Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills, aligning with the principles of the Principal Based Management (PBM) philosophy.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Proven experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection processes.
• Proven expertise in supplier negotiations focused on Bill of Materials (BOM) cost optimization and margin improvement.
• Excellent communication, influence, and persuasion skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Experience working with SAP or similar procurement systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in sourcing Industrial Cables, Metal & Mechanical parts, or Injection Moulded parts.
• Demonstrated economic thinking and ability to analyse all aspects of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Familiarity with Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and supplier quality management.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional, global procurement environment.
