The Senior Sourcing Advisor is a liaison between the Category Managers, the various internal business owner team(s), and any supplier during the sourcing process. This role serves as primary point of contact for Business Owners where a category is unmanaged. A sourcing, procurement, category-specific subject matter expertise, or finance background is required for this role. The scope and focus of work will vary and require working with a diverse team of cross-functional stakeholders. The Sr Sourcing Advisor is expected to lead the sourcing process elements of a project and understand business requirements. Areas of focus include request for information/proposal/quote (RFXs and other advanced sourcing techniques), supplier evaluation, commercial terms negotiation and/or related support, supplier due diligence, and contracting support with suppliers. This role requires a persistent and eager individual to independently find solutions that meet Exact Sciences’ business needs while optimizing cost, quality, and risk outcomes.

Essential Duties

  • Clearly communicates updates to stakeholders of ongoing initiatives and projects with suppliers.
  • Leads (or partners with the Category Manager in) the analysis of proposal responses with cross-functional teams.
  • Owns the supply agreement/contracting process with suppliers, leveraging support from the Sourcing team and contact analysts.
  • Drives contract negotiations to optimize cost, quality, and risk outcomes.
  • Defines and manages the development and execution of request for proposals (RFP’s) with input from cross-functional areas.
  • Adept at mining spend/supplier data and performing detailed analyses to support sourcing decisions.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with multi-level personnel, Business owners, Leaders, and supplier representatives through use of presentations and data analytics.
  • Drives an awareness of supplier expectations and requirements within the organization to foster win-win relationships.
  • Directs and/or participates in supplier visits, both onsite and via teleconference.
  • Collaborates in category implementation through data analysis, market intelligence gathering, supplier negotiations/contracting.
  • Drives forward aggressive savings initiatives while continuously managing savings pipeline based on key procurement targets.
  • Documents and communicates the savings success and engages business owners in needed process changes.
  • Practical experience with sourcing analysis techniques (TCO, make/buy, ROI, risk assessment, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensures sourcing standards are followed across the organization through education to impacted departments.
  • Leads and manages several varied projects at one time, with frequent changing priorities.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate backup and alternate suppliers independently, based on business needs, utilizing industry standard practices.

  • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
  • Hybrid working model (office presence required 3 days per week).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework) and ability to communicate in English on technical topics relating to the software development process.
  • Bachelors Degree in supply chain, finance, or a field related to essential duties.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement, information technology, finance, operations, or a field related to the essential duties.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation with supplier leadership and enterprise level contract management, including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in Poland without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP.
  • 3+ years of experience sourcing process execution.
  • Experience in working in a regulated environment (e.g. GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, CLIA, GCP, and FDA).
  • Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
