• Successfully completed a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in the backend development of web-based, scalable systems and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and AWS as well as SQL-based databases, e.g. PostgreSQL.
• Experience in the development, deployment, and operation of distributed systems, and you are familiar with technologies such as Docker, Kafka, and Terraform.
• Extensive experience in e-commerce, especially with payment processes like authorizations, captures, refunds or have integrated payment providers like Adyen, Stripe, PayPal.
• High degree of quality awareness, meaning that in addition to unit and integration tests, you are comfortable with static code analysis and performance tests, enabling a culture of continuous deployment within the team.
• Thinking outside the box and, beyond pure backend development/architecture, you are also interested in other areas (e.g., frontend, DevOps, security, process optimization, ...), you actively pursue further training in these fields and contribute your knowledge to the team.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Polish
• Openness to hybrid work and regular visits in Katowice office.
