In this role, you will design and build a foundational extension framework from the ground up, enabling a new generation of rich messaging experiences. You will partner with product managers and UX designers to translate user needs into elegant technical solutions. You will collaborate directly with the Android OS team to influence core platform APIs, ensuring your work has an impact far beyond the messages app. You will work with engineers to define the architecture and best practices for features that will be used by billions. You will join working groups and break new ground in the future of Kotlin, UX architecture, or experimentation for products at planetary scale. You will solve fascinating technical problems related to building scalable frameworks and rich, interactive user experiences.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Googles various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our users interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
