About the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned and innovative full-stack Senior Software Engineer to take on a key role in the development of our Transportation Management System. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive technical excellence and ensure the success of our TMS platform.

In This Role, You Will:

1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team in designing, architecting, and implementing software solutions using Java and Angular technologies.
2. System Architecture: Architect scalable and maintainable software systems, considering factors such as performance, security, and reliability. Define system architecture and design patterns for projects.
3. Full Stack Development: Lead the development of both front-end (Angular/React/jQuery) and back-end (Java) components of applications. Ensure seamless integration and compatibility across the entire stack.
4. Code Quality and Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns within the team. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality.
5. Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance through code refactoring, performance tuning, and implementing best practices. Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
6. Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges, best practices, and professional development. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design documents, and API documentation. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the team.

Required:

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on full stack development.
3. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
4. Proven track record of designing and architecting complex software systems.
5. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
6. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
2. Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Location:

This is a hybrid in-office role in Gdańsk, Poland.
