Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack - Data Protection

Your new role 

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join the product team, focusing on implementing data privacy and protection capabilities for our customers, such as Advanced Encryption, Data Redaction, Data Retention, and more. This cross-functional product team is responsible for engineering solutions to meet new and evolving data privacy laws.We are looking for a fullstack Senior Software Engineer. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about scalable architectures and who want to work on high-impact engineering initiatives at an enterprise scale.As a Senior Engineer, you will work across teams to solve complex challenges, mentor engineers, and lead the design and development of solutions that enhance our data customization capabilities. What you will do:

Lead Engineering Excellence & Innovation

• Oversee initiatives from design to delivery.
• Architect scalable, secure solutions for enterprise customers.
• Make impactful technical decisions and communicate them effectively.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Collaborate & Deliver High-Impact Solutions

• Work with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering Leaders on technical strategy.
• Identify and mitigate development issues.
• Improve applications and design solutions.
• Build reusable components for efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards.
• Ensure high-quality, reliable feature delivery.

Mentor, Guide, and Strengthen the Team

• Mentor and train team members.
• Promote a learning culture and skill development.
• Participate in on-call rotations for system reliability.
• Contribute to team technical leadership and long-term success.

What you39ll need to succeed 

• 4+ years in backend or full-stack engineering.
• 2+ years with Ruby on Rails and/or Java.
• Ability to lead projects independently.
• Experience mentoring and fostering teamwork.
• Proficient with observability tools for system reliability.
• Open-minded and inclusive.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Passionate about learning and collaboration.
• Comfortable working across the technical stack.
• Strong background in major programming languages (Java, Ruby, Go, Scala).
• Skilled in building scalable, distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in security or data privacy.
• Familiarity with gRPC, Service Mesh, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio.
• Knowledge of micro frontend architectures and federation.
• Engagement in personal projects, open-source contributions, or active learning.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Ruby on Rails, Java.
• Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GraphQL.
• Datastore: MySQL/Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, ElasticSearch.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio.
