Engineering Infrastructure and Operations (EIO) covers all the engineering productivity aspects of Android large screen and ChromeOS. Our mission is making the OS easy to change, hard to break and ship efficiently. We are responsible for the build, test, and release infrastructure of Android large screen and ChromeOS. This includes improving developer productivity, raising the product quality bar, improving device lifecycle efficiency, ensuring that the testing infrastructure is reliable and scalable.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will ensure the overall functionality, reliability, and performance of Android large screen and ChromeOS laptops. You will collaborate closely with the development and product management teams to deliver a consistently fast and dependable user experience.

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design solutions that prioritize testability.
