HID’s Physical Access Control Solutions Department:  

HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure. 

As our Senior Software Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:  

  • Designing, implementing and maintenance of software for Windows/Unix/Cross-platform
  • Activity participates in software architecture designing
  • Designing software modules, implementing and integrating them with other components of the system, while interfacing with other teams in the organization, and ensuring integration and effective delivery of products
  • Following best practices for design, development and testing
  • Reviewing software architecture document & software specifications 

What we will love about your background:  

  • Familiarity with CI tools – Jenkins/Groovy
  • Knowledge of unix systems and docker
  • Knowledge of Smart Card
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and at least 3 years (6 years for senior) of good quality, hands on development
  • Proficiency in C# programming language / .NET platform
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles, test automation, TDD/BDD, REST
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
